Coffee Morning: how FinTech companies have changed the financial sector

FinTech startups are on the rise and new payment options have evolved not only from digitalisation, but also from the transformation of the financial sector itself. Tehnopol Startup Incubator’s coffee morning in November will feature experts from both the local and international arenas, who will share their knowledge on the latest developments in the FinTech field, the rapid rise of e-commerce and how innovative FinTech solutions have affected the entire financial sector.

Speakers
Mattias Liivak is PR and marketing manager at Fortumo, which develops various mobile technologies, including a payment platform. The company is truly international, reaching 3 billion consumers in more than 80 countries. Over coffee morning, Mattias talks about the future of payment technologies in both Europe and developing countries.

Jane Aavik is partnership manager at EveryPay, a cloud-based digital payment platform for banks, which in turn offers these solutions to their merchants / business customers. She will share her knowledge about the continuing growth of digital payments and the hottest trends in the sector.

Andreas Kotsjuba is responsible for business development at Fiizy, which is a platform helping more than 700,000 people in Europe and Latin America each month to find a suitable financing product among the more than 200 financial institutions with which Fiizy has a partnership. Before Fiizy, Andreas helped build the digital bank Pocopay from its first days until it made a profit.
During the coffee morning, Andreas shares his thoughts on what today’s problems fintech solves in people’s daily lives and how the role of fintech companies differs in developed markets (eg Europe, America) and emerging markets (such as Africa and Latin America). We focus primarily on payments and financing.
