Connected Health Cluster obtains Gold Label in cluster assessment
Connected Health Cluster, led by Tehnopol, received an important award from the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) – the Gold Label.
The Connected Health Cluster previously obtained the Bronze Label, which was renewed last year, and started the application process for the Gold Label. The ESCA cluster assessment process reviews the organisational capabilities, sustainability and strategic positioning of clusters. It also considers how the cluster works with partners and members.
According to Tehnopol’s Health Tech and Connected Health Cluster Manager Piret Hirv, the assessment by an external expert helped confirm the cluster’s strengths and gather thoughts on areas that need development. “The Gold Label shows that the cluster is a worthy cooperation partner in Estonia and on an international level,” notes Piret Hirv.
The Connected Health cluster is a community of health-related parties in Estonia whose joint goal is to use technology in order to provide even better products and services. The cluster involves health tech companies such as start-ups, health IT, medtech, biotech and pharmaceutical companies. The cluster is managed by Tehnopol science and business campus. The cluster’s support enables domestic cooperation projects and the export of health technological solutions to other countries. The cluster’s activities are co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
The Gold Label is valid for two years.
