Academic Male Choir of TTU is opening the summer season with the concert in Tehnopol
Already tomorrow (30th of May) at 18.00 Academic Male Choir of Tallinn University of Technology is going to give a concert “Men from Next Door!”. Concert will take place in Tehnopol Startup Incubator lobby (Mäealuse 2/1 I floor) and is free of charge to everybody.
TAM Tehnikaülikooli Akadeemiline Meeskoor is the Academic Male Choir of Tallinn University of Technology. Their roots come from a land in Northern Europe covered in forests and surrounded by limestone shores. They are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Estonia’s independence and want to share the joy of a singing nation with audiences across Scandinavia. That’s why they decided to bring a piece of Estonian culture to Norway and Iceland, the latter of which was the first to recognize Estonia’s re-independence in 1991.
The Men from Next Door tour consists of the cream from Norwegian, Icelandic and Estonian male choir music, including delightful pieces from our neighbours across Northern Europe.
TAM is dedicated to delivering the best male choir music to audiences around the world. They are equally passionate about introducing Estonian composers, who have given us wonderful music to enjoy and cherish.
They bring you pieces from composers Edvard Grieg, Þorkell Sigurbjörnsson, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Veljo Tormis and Pärt Uusberg. The choir is conducted by Peeter Perens and Siim Selis.
