Estonia´s first acceleration program ended with investor pitches

29th of June was very important day for 8 teams, who took part in intensive Startup Wise Guys accelerator program and presented their business models to investors and business angels in Tallinn. The aim of the presentations was to find financing for growing and going international. This week teams will also participate in London pitching event.

Startup Wise Guys is managed by experienced startup experts like Herty Tammo, Jon Bradford, Andris Berzins, Lukas Hudecek, Elise Sass and Mike Reiner. From Tehnopol Startup Incubation team, Raido Pikkar took actively part as accelerator advisor. For the sake of quick growth of these 8 teams, Startup Wize Guys had 61 mentors on board.

Three of the eight teams were from Estonia – InSkilled, Like a Local Guide and VitalFields. Other teams were from Germany (EpicList), Ukraine (Monday52), Croatia (Monolith), England (Pondera) and Netherlands (WappZapp). All investors have approved all teams for their good ability to present concretely and talk interestingly about their idea, team and opportunities.

From this autumn another accelerator will start in Estonia called GameFounders, where teams can sign until 10th of July. GameFounders is expecting all startups, who want to conquer the world game industry. About 60 mentors from mobile and game field will be advising the teams.
