Tehnopol, Development Fund and Seed Forum launched a project Single CBR Home Market that will harmonize Central Baltic region business environment. The project is lead by Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.
The aim of the project is to increase Central Baltic region businesses ability to succeed, by opening doors to export markets, expand access to investor and by providing incubation services across borders.
The project involves Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol, Estonian Development Fund, Seed Forum Estonia, Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, Seed Forum Latvia, State Regional Development Agency from Latvia, Valmiera Business and Innovation incubator, Society KBI from Latvia and Aalto University Small Business Centre from Finland.
Project was launched to solve growth and internationalization problems of local small and medium sized companies. Today's main problems are differences in Commercial Code, business ethics and culture between countries, lack of access to capital and lack of companies with international experience, who would help newcomers. So because of that many innovative Central Baltic region companies stay local.
Through this project, they will provide a common platform for companies and investors to meet in Seed Forum events, which will be held in different countries. Incubators will develop and launch cross-border incubation process that will help their businesses to reach new foreign markets cost-efficiently and conveniently.
Project will be implemented during the period 2011-2013 and is funded by the EU Regional Development Fund Interreg IVA .
